Are you looking for a beautiful beach to enjoy nice scenery? Or are you looking for a place for jogging, cycling or perhaps, a place for family-get-together activities?
We would like to recommend you the Likas Bay Public Park (also known as Taman Awam Teluk Likas in Malay) at Kota Kinabalu. The entrance of the park is situated about 4 km away from the city center but the park itself stretches along the Likas bay and the coastal highway (measuring about 3km in length).
The park was officially opened in 2010 and has being a very popular family outing for the locals since then. The locals come here for jogging, cycling, swimming at the shallow beach, picnicking, doing BBQ or just plain relaxing at the park. If you have a lot of energy to spare, why not walk or jog towards the end of the bay so you will be able to witness the majestic City Mosque, symbol of the Kota Kinabalu city.
The park is opened 24 hours and admission is free.
